Case study - United Utilities

United Utilities, a FTSE 100 company and regulated business, providing utility services to around 7m people in the North West of England.

A diverse organisation where the MD recognised the need for more focused team performance.  The focus was for leaders to enable their team by providing them with more autonomy and responsibility but with clear and challenging performance measures.

A bespoke toolkit, aimed at developing high performance teams, was created and accompanied by training for line managers and their teams.  A stand-alone toolkit, for use by line managers and their teams, ensured the on-going development of the teams. This resulted in over 300 teams taking part in year one.
